Toots' Suite with Normand Glaude

National Arts Centre 4th Stage, 53 Elgin St., Ottawa, ON

Normand Glaude's new artistic endeavour is the chromatic harmonica, however he is mostly known as a double bassist around Ottawa where he has been playing for over 25 years. He rekindled his love for harmonica, the very first instrument he played, when Tim Bedner approached him to contribute on his solo album project, Of Light and Shadow (2012), where Normand's sound can be heard throughout the recording.

In this concert on chromatic harmonica entitled “Toots' Suite”, Normand Glaude pays tribute to Toots Thielemans, arguably the finest jazz harmonica player of his time. On the program will be some of Toots' signature compositions along with other songs that Toots' musical soul forever touched with his unmistakable sound.
